Job Description

Restaurant General Manager:
Elizabeth City Pizza Company — Elizabeth City, NC Elizabeth City Pizza Company is looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant General Manager to help lead and grow our business into its next chapter. We are searching for someone who is more than just a shift manager — we want a true leader who understands restaurant operations, team culture, profitability, systems, and growth. This is an opportunity for the right person to step into an established and well-loved local business and help elevate it through intentional leadership, accountability, creativity, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily restaurant operations : Lead, train, and motivate staff Improve systems, workflow, and consistency: Manage scheduling, labor costs, and payroll efficiency Monitor food cost, inventory, waste, and profitability: Maintain cleanliness and operational standards Ensure excellent customer service and hospitality: Handle customer concerns professionally Help develop promotions, sales initiatives, and growth strategies: Work closely with ownership to strengthen and expand the business
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant management experience required: Strong leadership and communication skills Understanding of labor management, COGS, margins, and inventory: Ability to hold a team accountable while maintaining positive morale Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Weekend availability required ServSafe Manager Certification required (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation & Growth Opportunity:
Starting pay is based on experience, leadership ability, and restaurant operations background. This is a hands-on working management position that includes actively leading shifts alongside the team while also overseeing operations, systems, staffing, and business growth initiatives. The selected candidate will begin with an introductory leadership period through the end of summer, allowing both ownership and management to evaluate long-term fit, leadership performance, and operational impact. Opportunities for raises, bonuses, and expanded leadership responsibilities will be available based on performance, growth, and results.
