Job Description:
The Shift Supervisor position at Press Coffee, Crepes + Cocktails is an integral position within the restaurant that ensures guests are served to company standards in quality of product, speed of service, and in being shown authentic hospitality. You can lend assistance in any role needing help, as well as supervising scheduled employees and ensuring they are motivated and moving to complete the needed service and daily tasks each day. This role is a bridge to all sections of the restaurant and contributes to a steady, calm experience for employees and customers alike. Restaurant experience is a must for this position. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for upholding the culture and values of Press, making sure that all team members exhibit qualities in line with company expectations. Positive attitude and demeanor are a must as well as a full understanding of industry standards for safety and quality. They lead employees with integrity and approachability while providing clear and consistent communication to guide the shift. A typical day within this position would require many tasks that are essential to a high-functioning restaurant kitchen and coffee shop:
- Manage daily schedules, employee shifts, and staff needed based on business volume
- Assign duties to employees and oversee their progress
- Ensure that daily sales and production goals are met
- Train and integrate new workers
- Provide guidance and feedback to employees when needed
- Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed
- Assist management in the goals of Press
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment within the four walls
- Make sure customers get what they need without issue or delay Within 30 days the tasks required should be mastered and the job should be able to be completed without step-by-step direction, except for special tasks and situations.

00+ per hour with tip share. We operate a pooled tip share with a minimum of $5 per hour in tip share for a guaranteed hourly wage of your base pay + $5/hr. Average actual hourly tip share is currently over $6/hr and varies by days of week/shifts worked.
