Position Overview:
- Seeking a driven, experienced Kitchen Chef / Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen execution, maintaining food quality and consistency, managing staff, and ensuring a clean, efficient, and profitable operation. This is a leadership role for someone who can run a kitchen, not just work a station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations during service
- Train, schedule, and develop kitchen staff
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and timing
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost control
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Build and maintain prep systems to support efficient service
- Work the line during peak hours and lead by example
- Collaborate on menu development and specials
- Monitor labor and adjust staffing as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment
Requirements:
- 3+ years kitchen leadership experience (Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager)
- Strong understanding of food cost, inventory, and kitchen systems
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and high-volume shifts
- Hands-on leader with a strong work ethic
