Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager at Ladybug Hospitality to lead our prestigious fine dining restaurant to new heights of excellence. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader with a flair for hospitality management, culinary oversight, and team development. As the driving force behind daily operations, you will ensure an exceptional guest experience, uphold the highest standards of food safety and service, and foster a vibrant, motivated team. Your leadership will inspire staff to deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining operational efficiency and financial performance. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Manage staff recruitment, training, supervision, and development to cultivate a high-performing team committed to excellence. Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to optimize food and beverage stock levels while minimizing waste. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and sanitation practices across all departments. Supervise kitchen management, food production processes, and catering services to deliver consistent quality. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales tracking, cash handling, and reporting accuracy. Develop budgets, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to meet revenue targets and control costs. Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, resolving operational issues swiftly, and maintaining a smooth flow of service. Conduct staff training sessions focused on food handling, customer service excellence, and hospitality best practices. Foster a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in all areas of restaurant management. Requirements Proven experience managing a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment with a strong background in food industry operations. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary standards, and kitchen management. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant management roles. Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise essential. Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety protocols, and health regulations. Excellent communication skills with experience in interviewing, training & development of staff. Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality service standards. Prior experience in casual dining or banquet settings is advantageous; hotel or catering experience is a plus. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service with a focus on hospitality excellence.
