Your enthusiasm for event management combined with your strong organizational skills will drive the success of each gathering, from intimate meetings to large-scale celebrations. Responsibilities Coordinate the event setups according to client contracts, adhering to timelines. Coordinate crew for the setup and breakdown of the event spaces. Schedule crew members to optimize flow of service throughout events. Hire, train, and supervise staff. Coordinate all event details including catering, décor, entertainment, and technical requirements to ensure flawless execution. Address issues promptly to guarantee a positive experience. Manage events proactively on the ground, being the point of contact during the events. Maintain banquet liquor inventory, anticipating upcoming requisitions and orders through the NC ABC Board ( the LBD), as well as wine vendors. Monthly inventory of banquet perishables. Assist the Food and Beverage Director with banquet tip outs for payroll. Attend weekly meetings with sales about upcoming events. Adhere to safety and health regulations. Requirements Previous experience in banquet management, event planning or hospitality roles within hotels, restaurants, or event venues. Excellent communication and coaching skills for team members. Excellent written communication skills with clients via email. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail for managing multiple events simultaneously. Proficiency in time management and catering coordination. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive experiences that leave lasting impressions on our guests. Physical stamina- must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, move light weight furniture, and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
