Full-Time About Us We are a premier Wedding Venue that specializes in weddings, special events, and corporate functions. Our venue prides itself on delivering exceptional service, seamless event execution, and unforgettable guest experiences. We are seeking a driven and experienced General Manager with a strong background in banquet operations and sales to lead our team and grow our business. Position Overview The General Manager will oversee all aspects of venue operations, including event execution, office administration, staff management, and sales growth. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain calm and professional under pressure, and maintain a structured, organized approach at all times. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banquet and event operations and a proven ability to drive revenue growth while navigating both positive and challenging interactions with professionalism, emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal skills. The General Manager must be confident, emotionally intelligent, structured, and calm under pressure. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires presence both in the office (driving sales and operations) and on the floor (overseeing weddings and events).
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management Oversee all banquet and wedding functions from planning through execution. Manage daily office operations, ensuring efficient administrative workflow. Supervise event operations, including floor management during events. Maintain high standards of service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards. Coordinate with kitchen staff to oversee food preparation and service timing. Manage inventory control and vendor procurement to prevent shortages or excess. Monitor budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and client matters Sales & Business Development Drive sales growth through active lead management, follow-ups, and closing. Build relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals. Oversee inquiries via phone, email, live chat, and in-person appointments. Develop strategies to increase bookings, upsell services, and improve conversion rates. Track sales performance and implement growth initiatives. Staff Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff performance. Lead and motivate banquet and restaurant staff to achieve high service standards. Implement training programs focused on hospitality excellence and customer service. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment. Manage scheduling and shift oversight, especially during event days. Client & Vendor Relations Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and vendors' staff. Handle client concerns and resolve complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with high-pressure situations. Ensure exceptional client experience from first inquiry through event completion. Qualifications Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in banquet hall or hospitality management. Strong background in both event operations and sales growth expert knowledge of banquet set-ups, policies and procedures. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented. Experience with Caterease or other event management softwares Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm, professional, and positive.
Schedule Expectations Primary schedule:
