About Us Sip City Liquor & Lounge is a modern bar + retail liquor store concept offering a full-service cocktail experience alongside a curated retail selection. We are building a high-energy, customer-focused environment and are looking for a strong leader to manage both sides of the business. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bar & Retail Operations Manager to oversee daily bar operations, retail performance, and team leadership . This role requires someone who is equally comfortable managing a busy bar environment and driving retail sales and inventory control. Key ResponsibilitiesBar Operations Manage daily bar service, staff, and guest experience Ensure consistent execution of cocktails, recipes, and quality standards Oversee opening/closing procedures and shift operations Maintain compliance with New Jersey alcohol service laws Train and mentor bartenders on service standards and upselling Retail Operations Oversee liquor store operations, merchandising, and organization Manage inventory levels, ordering, and vendor relationships Drive retail sales through product knowledge and customer engagement Maintain pricing accuracy and promotional displays Team Leadership Hire, train, and schedule bar and retail staff Enforce company policies, cash handling procedures, and accountability Lead by example with professionalism and strong customer service Manage labor costs and staffing efficiency Financial & Operational Management Monitor daily sales, labor, and cost controls Ensure accurate POS (Clover) usage and cash reconciliation Review reports and improve operational performance Support inventory control and minimize shrinkage Qualifications 2+ years of bar management or hospitality leadership experience Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar operations Retail or liquor store experience preferred Experience with POS systems (Clover and Retail Z experience a plus) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays What We're Looking For A hands-on leader who can manage both bar and retail operations Strong attention to detail and accountability Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Passion for hospitality and customer experience

Pay:
