Job Description

Sous Chef - Italian Restaurant We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our team at our authentic Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine and a proven background in high-volume, upscale kitchens. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and the ability to execute consistently high standards of food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth service during peak hours Maintain quality control and consistency across all dishes Develop and execute seasonal Italian specials with authentic techniques and flavors Monitor inventory, food cost, and waste management Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Train, mentor, and inspire the culinary team Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of experience as Sous Chef or senior line cook in an Italian restaurant Deep knowledge of traditional and modern Italian cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional dishes Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred Flexibility with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
