Job Description
Job Title:
Café Manager tipped position, approximately $10/hr additionally to the base salary Position Summary The CaféManager is responsible for overseeing all daily café operations, ensuring consistent execution of service, product quality, and team performance. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely loves people, takes pride in their work, and can lead a team with both kindness and accountability. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all day-to-day café operations Create and maintain staff schedules based on sales trends and forecasted demand Monitor daily business flow and adjust staffing and operations accordingly Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls Track and analyze sales across food, beverage, and retail categories Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety Lead shifts on the floor and ensure consistent service execution Train, coach, and develop baristas and shift leads Partner with senior baristas to onboard and train new team members Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, communication, and performance Develop and lead monthly team meetings, initiatives, and incentives Collaborate with the Bakery Manager and Roasting Manager to ensure smooth product flow and operations Implement and improve systems for efficiency, organization, and consistency Be present and actively managing for 5 shifts per week Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in café, hospitality, or food service management Strong leadership and team development skills Excellent written and verbal communication High level of organization and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Compensation & Benefits Salaried position Additional cash tips averaging approximately $10/hour 5 days paid vacation per year Up to 10 earned sick days per year Referral bonus for employees retained after 90 days What We're Looking For This role is best suited for someone who takes ownership of their environment, leads with clarity, and understands that strong operations and strong hospitality go hand in hand.
