Job Description

Position:
Logistics and Warehouse Manager -
Food Retail Location:
New Jersey / New York A specialized specialty food retailer in rapid growth mode is looking for a dynamic Logistics & Warehouse Manager to oversee regional storage and product movement operations. The Manager will be responsible for managing all warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and cross-functional product logistics. This role includes managing inbound and outbound inventory, ensuring inventory accuracy, supervising warehouse staff, and overseeing daily facility operations. The individual will collaborate closely with regional Operations and Finance teams to support inventory planning, product availability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations:
Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, optimize processes, establish team priorities, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct routine cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and monitor inventory turnover.
Inbound Logistics & Receiving:
Coordinate incoming shipments, verify quantity and quality, and ensure timely entry into the inventory system.
Outbound Logistics & Shipping:
Oversee order fulfillment and shipments to retail stores and customers, optimizing transportation schedules.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, coach, and schedule warehouse employees to promote safety, accountability, and productivity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Operations and Finance teams to improve inventory accuracy, availability, and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Core Experience:
5+ years in warehouse, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
Leadership Track Record:
2+ years managing warehouse personnel.
Inventory & Shipping Expertise:
Strong background in inventory control and shipping/receiving operations.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in ERP systems, WMS, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Industry Background:
Experience in food, snack, retail, consumer goods, or distribution environments.
