SHO Asian Table is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Assistant Manager to help launch our newest restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the opening leadership team and play a key role in building a culture focused on exceptional hospitality, operational excellence, teamwork, and accountability. The Assistant Manager partners with the General Manager and other leaders to oversee daily restaurant operations while supporting both the Front and Back of House. This position is responsible for leading by example, developing team members, maintaining exceptional guest experiences, and ensuring Company standards are consistently executed. Position Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead daily restaurant operations while maintaining exceptional hospitality and operational excellence. Coach, develop, and motivate Front and Back of House team members. Lead shifts while maintaining a visible presence on the restaurant floor. Ensure consistent execution of the SHO Steps of Service and Company Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain high standards of food quality, beverage quality, cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and safety. Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance development. Assist with scheduling, labor management, and productivity. Support food cost, beverage cost, inventory control, and waste reduction initiatives. Ensure compliance with Company policies and all applicable health department, alcohol service, and workplace safety regulations. Resolve guest concerns professionally while creating memorable guest experiences. Complete operational reports, shift documentation, checklists, and administrative responsibilities accurately and on time. Support opening, closing, and manager-on-duty responsibilities. Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture. Perform all other duties assigned by senior leadership. Qualifications Previous restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant required. Strong leadership and coaching skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Passion for hospitality and guest service. Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience with labor management, scheduling, and inventory preferred. Experience with Toast POS and restaurant technology is a plus. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as business needs require.
