Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to fill the role of Barista & Front of the House Manager. This dual-position combines the art of crafting exceptional coffee and beverages with the leadership of our front-of-house operations. As a key ambassador for our brand, you will create memorable customer experiences, oversee daily café activities, and lead a team dedicated to hospitality excellence. Your passion for food, beverage service, and team management will drive the success of our vibrant establishment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary and management skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Duties Prepare high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met. Manage daily front-of-house operations, including overseeing customer service, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Supervise staff training and development to uphold service standards, food safety protocols, and operational procedures. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; manage cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales. Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize food and beverage costs. Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, supervising team performance, and resolving customer issues promptly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health standards, and sanitation practices across all food preparation and service areas. Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency. Support catering events or special functions when required, including setup, service, and breakdown. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and conflict resolution. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and beverage crafting within quick service or fast food restaurant settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Extensive background in restaurant management with supervision experience in hospitality or casual dining environments. Skilled in inventory control, food handling, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Demonstrated leadership in staff training & development, team management, and supervising diverse teams. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming experiences for guests. Ability to manage shift operations effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Experience with budgeting, food production planning, catering services, and event management is highly desirable. Familiarity with hotel or banquet operations adds value; culinary or barista experience is a plus. Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to interview candidates and support staff onboarding processes.
