Job Overview Newly Renovated and very busy/ sought out restaurant seeking Assistant Manager to join our team. Amount of hours can be flexible with the right candidate. The restuarant open Tuesday - Saturday - must be available some morning's, afternoons and evenings, nights including Thursday and Friday evenings. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. +++ MUST
HAVE DINE IN RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
++++ Responsibilities Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Supervise staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to foster a positive work environment. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant. Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for efficient service. Support food preparation and cooking as needed, ensuring quality standards are met. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly. Assist in budgeting and financial reporting to optimize restaurant profitability. Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure timely food production and service during peak hours. Participate in interviewing and hiring new staff members as part of the recruitment process. Skills Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary experience, and kitchen management practices. Proficiency in cash handling procedures and experience with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS). Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management, training & development, and staff motivation. Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to enhancing guest experiences. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
