About Us:
Located in the heart of the Meatpacking District, Gansevoort's Rooftop Bar & Lounge is one of New York City's premier nightlife and hospitality destinations, known for elevated service, vibrant energy, and luxury guest experiences. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Rooftop Manager to lead operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Position Summary:
The Rooftop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rooftop venue, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, team leadership, and financial performance. This role will manage front-of-house operations, maintain luxury hospitality standards, and lead teams through high-volume evening and nightlife service.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all rooftop operations, including bar, lounge, and guest experience Lead, train, coach, and develop front-of-house teams Ensure service standards align with Gansevoort Core Values and Coyle Standards Manage staffing levels, scheduling, labor costs, and operational flow Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly resolve service concerns Partner with culinary, beverage, security, and hotel leadership teams Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with DOH and SLA standards Support special events, activations, and VIP experiences Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality excellence
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in upscale hospitality, nightlife, or high-volume venues Strong leadership and team development skills Experience managing busy bar/lounge operations preferred Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays NYC Food Handler's Certificate and alcohol service knowledge preferred
