Job Description

The Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing all banquet operations to ensure exceptional guest service and adherence to Laguna Development Corporation's standards, policies, and gaming regulations. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of events—from preparation to execution and post-event follow-up—while ensuring high-quality food service and guest satisfaction. The manager collaborates with clients to plan successful events, addresses guest feedback and concerns, and maintains strong communication with internal departments and external vendors. Additionally, the position requires maintaining a professional, positive demeanor and serving as a role model both within the organization and in interactions with customers. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, and supervising banquet staff; managing budgets and forecasting financial performance; and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. The Catering Manager must coordinate all banquet event orders, control costs, and monitor staff performance to maintain service excellence. The role also requires participation in leadership development programs, handling scheduling and staffing needs, and working flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Candidates should have a degree or equivalent experience, several years in food and beverage operations, and strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, along with proficiency in standard office software and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
