Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service. Supervise staff training and development to enhance team performance and ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and optimize staffing levels for efficient service delivery. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality control and consistency across all menu items. Handle POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Control inventory levels through effective stock management, reducing waste while maintaining sufficient supplies for daily operations. Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards in all areas of the restaurant. Support customer service initiatives by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally to guarantee a positive dining experience. Assist with budgeting, cost control measures, and financial reporting to support restaurant profitability. Participate in interviewing potential staff members and contribute to hiring decisions based on skills in food handling, hospitality management, and team leadership. Requirements Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision within quick service or fast food environments; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary operations. Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training, coaching, and performance management. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming atmospheres for guests. Familiarity with inventory control practices and food safety regulations including HACCP standards. Previous experience managing shifts in a high-volume restaurant setting; supervisory experience required. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under pressure. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the staff. Knowledge of budgeting processes, cost control strategies, and operational planning in the hospitality industry.
