Bar Manager

Job Summary A premier private event venue in Reno is looking for a strong, hospitality-minded Bar Manager / Bar & Event Operations Lead to help manage our bar program, support event execution, and create exceptional guest experiences at weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, and public events. This is a key leadership role for someone who loves fast-paced events, takes pride in organization, and knows how to lead a bar team with professionalism, warmth, and confidence.

Responsibilities:

Supervise all bar operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness Oversee bar operations for weddings, corporate, private, and public events Manage bar setup, service flow, guest experience, and closing procedures Maintain inventory, ordering, stocking, and product control Prepare specialty cocktails, garnishes, signage, and event-specific bar needs Supervise, schedule, and support bartenders and bar staff Follow event timelines, Bar BEOs, and venue service standards Monitor guest flow and assist during high-volume service Ensure responsible alcohol service, ID checks, and liquor law compliance Handle guest concerns and event-day issues with professionalism Reconcile hosted tabs, POS reports, payments, and tips Secure, clean, and reset bar areas after each event Support event setup, execution, and breakdown as needed Requirements Bar leadership, catering, restaurant, event, or hospitality experience preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently Demonstrated leadership in team management, training & development, and staff supervision Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices Join us as a Bar Manager to lead a passionate team dedicated to creating memorable experiences for our guests.
