Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. In this vital role, you will ensure exceptional food quality, maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, and deliver outstanding customer service. Your leadership will drive efficiency, foster a positive team environment, and uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food handling, safety protocols, and proper cooking techniques to maintain high standards of hygiene and quality. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods in quick service or casual dining environments. Implement food safety standards in compliance with local health regulations and conduct regular sanitation inspections. Lead shift management by delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and motivating staff to achieve operational goals. Support staff training & development initiatives to enhance team skills and promote a positive work culture. Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a strong, competent kitchen staff. Skills Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry. Proven supervisory experience with strong leadership skills in hospitality or restaurant settings. Knowledge of inventory control methods, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally. Strong organizational abilities for shift management, staffing schedules, and food production planning. Ability to train staff effectively on culinary procedures, safety protocols, and hospitality best practices. Experience working in various restaurant environments including casual dining, quick service, fine dining or catering is highly valued.
