Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service during your shifts. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning. Train and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant. Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the POS system effectively. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction. Assist in budgeting and financial management to meet operational goals. Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members. Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving service quality. Skills Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with various POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS. Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail. Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle guest complaints professionally. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Leadership skills with a focus on training & development of team members. Experience in kitchen management, culinary experience, or fine dining is a plus.
