In this role, you will oversee team performance, ensure exceptional service quality, and maintain smooth restaurant functions during your shift. Your leadership will inspire staff, uphold food safety standards, and deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills while working in a dynamic hospitality setting. Responsibilities Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction during your shift Lead and motivate team members, providing clear direction, support, and training to foster a positive work environment Oversee food preparation and food handling processes to meet safety and quality standards Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy Control inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability Enforce food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations Assist with staff training, interviewing, scheduling, and performance evaluations to build a skilled team Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience Support kitchen management activities including food production coordination and catering services when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment throughout your shift Skills Proven experience in food service management within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or assistant management experience in a restaurant setting Excellent customer service abilities with a focus on guest satisfaction Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards (including HACCP) Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and food cost optimization strategies Effective team management skills including training & development, interviewing, and performance coaching Familiarity with kitchen operations, food production processes, and hospitality management principles Experience with managing shifts in a high-volume restaurant environment; multitasking under pressure is essential Strong communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and accountability Join us as a Restaurant Shift Manager where your passion for hospitality meets the opportunity to lead a vibrant team.
