Job Description

  • Food to oversee food service operations at one of the premier long-term care facilities on the Lower East Side of New York City .
This is a high-visibility leadership role where you will have the opportunity to drive operational excellence, elevate the resident dining experience, and lead a strong, unionized team. What You'll Do Provide strategic leadership for all food service operations, including patient dining and retail services Lead, mentor, and develop a team including: Operations Manager Patient Services Manager Executive Chef 50+ union frontline employees Drive exceptional resident satisfaction through quality food, service, and hospitality Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (DOH, Joint Commission, HACCP) Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls Partner closely with client leadership to deliver on program objectives and continuous improvement initiatives Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and service excellence What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. What You Bring Strong leadership experience in healthcare food service, preferably within long-term care Culinary background with a passion for quality, innovation, and resident-centered dining Proven success managing unionized teams in a complex, high-volume environment Experience leading multi-level management teams Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and cost control Excellent communication and client relationship skills Ability to drive employee engagement and operational performance Who We Are At Sodexo, our purpose is to create a better everyday for everyone and build a better life for all.
