Job Description
Camp Rubirosa is seeking an Assistant General Manager who brings a deep commitment to hospitality, strong operational instincts, and the ability to lead a team through high-volume, high-expectation service. This role is central to the daily success of the restaurant, working closely with the General Manager to ensure that every shift is executed with consistency, energy, and attention to detail. The AGM is responsible for overseeing the flow of service from start to finish. This includes managing pacing, supporting the team on the floor, and ensuring that guests feel taken care of from the moment they arrive through the end of their experience. The right candidate is highly present during service, able to anticipate needs, solve problems quickly, and maintain composure in a fast-moving environment. This role also plays a key part in developing the front-of-house team. The AGM sets the tone for service standards, leads pre-shift meetings with clarity and purpose, and provides ongoing coaching and feedback. Building a strong, accountable, and positive team culture is essential, and the AGM is expected to lead by example in both professionalism and work ethic. A strong focus on the guest experience is critical. The AGM should be comfortable engaging with a wide range of guests, including regulars and high-profile clientele, and handling any issues with confidence and care. The goal is to create an environment where guests feel welcomed, valued, and excited to return. Operationally, the AGM supports key areas including reservations and seating strategy, coordination with the kitchen, and maintaining high standards of organization and cleanliness throughout the space. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to balance efficiency with hospitality. The ideal candidate has several years of experience in a high-quality, high-volume restaurant and has previously held a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in seasonal or destination markets is a plus. Above all, this person takes pride in their work, holds high standards, and contributes to a culture that values both excellence and teamwork. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing concept, with the ability to make a meaningful impact on both the team and the guest experience.
