Job Description

We are a company with a proven track record of success and run multiple locations in the lower Finger Lakes region. We are looking for some Kitchen Manager / Chef candidates to join our team. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and service standards are met consistently. As a key leader in our hospitality environment, you will drive menu innovation, manage food production, and foster a positive team culture that emphasizes excellence and creativity. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining efficient kitchen workflows. Duties Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency in line with our culinary vision Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste Develop innovative menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and elevate the dining experience in fine dining or catering settings Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper handling procedures across all kitchen operations Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth food service during busy shifts and special events such as banquets or large functions Monitor kitchen performance metrics, implement improvements, and oversee shift management to maximize efficiency and quality Qualifications Proven experience in restaurant management or head chef roles within the food industry, with a strong background in fine dining or catering environments Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead and develop a diverse culinary team Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food safety protocols Familiarity with banquet experience, dietary department procedures, and catering operations is highly desirable Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of service Join us if you're passionate about crafting exceptional culinary experiences!
