WE ARE SEEKING FOR A FACTORY KITCHEN MANAGER FOR OUR MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN LONG ISLAND CITY, NY.
Shift:
Monday - Friday Lady M® Confections prides itself on creating the freshest and finest handmade cakes. Its pastry chefs follow recipes that have been refined over the years to provide the highest quality in taste and appearance. The special care and attention in creating Lady M cakes has led to a loyal following with New York City and Los Angeles's top restaurants and an ever-growing international private clientele. This position will oversee daily food manufacturing operations through our Kitchen Chef and Sous Chef. Enforce rigorous safety and quality control standards, manage a large team that includes Kitchen Chef, Sous Chef, supervisors and prep staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Office and Kitchen:
time will be split between Office and Kitchen work daily. 2. Handle paper work such as Disciplinary Forms, incident reports, etc.) 3.
Escalate Issues:
Identify and escalate any operational or personnel issues to the Head Chef or Sous Chef, as needed, to ensure smooth operations. 4.
Employee Training:
Assist in training new employees and continually work to maintain and develop the skills of existing team members 5.
Maintain Employee Morale:
work with Executive Chefs and kitchen Chefs to foster a positive work environment by ensuring employees stay motivated and engaged in their tasks. 6.
Create Individual Goals:
Set specific, measurable, and achievable goals for each employee to support their personal growth and skill development. 7.
Daily Meetings:
Conduct daily meetings with the Kitchen Chef and Sous Chef to discuss the plan for the day, any changes requested by the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chefs, and any other necessary updates. 8.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure all kitchen operations meet food safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized working environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
Work alongside our QC team and ensure the kitchen is in compliance to the rules and regulations that are set in place.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards Experience within a GMP or Food Safety Compliant Facility Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
