Job Description
Our goal is simple:
high-quality food and hospitality that feel effortless, never forced. We're looking for a General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation while helping us continue to grow into a cornerstone of the local community. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run a tight, thoughtful service while building a team and culture people want to be part of. The Role As GM, you'll be responsible for the full front-of-house operation and overall guest experience. You'll work closely with ownership and the kitchen to maintain consistency, improve systems, and keep the restaurant running smoothly at every level. This is a leadership position with real influence. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the floor, the team, and the systems - and who is motivated to build something long-term. What You'll Own Lead all FOH operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service Hire, train, and develop a strong, professional team Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor targets Oversee ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships Maintain clean, efficient systems across service and admin Collaborate with the kitchen on menu rollouts and daily execution Be present on the floor - leading service and stepping in wherever needed Growth & Creative Input We see Oliver's as more than a restaurant. There's real opportunity here to expand into events, programming, and integration with our on-site inn, the Howland House Develop and lead events or programming that fit the space Build partnerships within the local community Help shape future growth, including expanded operations We value initiative and will support ideas that strengthen both the business and the guest experience. Experience 3-5+ years of hospitality management experience Confident leading service, teams, and daily operations Strong organizational and financial management skills Comfortable with POS and scheduling systems (Toast preferred) Detail-oriented, but adaptable under pressure Genuinely hospitality-driven, warm, grounded, and professionalBonus:
experience with events, programming, or boutique lodgingCompensation & Schedule Hourly:
$30/hr (25-35hrs typical) Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends We're open to structuring compensation to reflect experience, responsibility, and contributions to growth.
