About Us The Beekman Arms, America's oldest continuously operated hotel, is located in the center of the Village of Rhinebeck in the historic Hudson Valley. The Tavern at The Beekman Arms is in the Hotel, a Colonial Tavern and fine dining venue with multiple dining rooms. We also do events and weddings in our banquet space and the lawn of the Delamater Inn. Pleasantly old-fashioned, yet unobtrusively modern. The Tavern At The Beekman Arms is a restaurant and event venue in the Beekman Arms Hotel, specializing in exceptional dining experiences, weddings, private events, and special occasions. We are seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Restaurant Manager to lead our Front of House operations and ensure outstanding guest experiences every day. This position focuses exclusively on Front of House management and guest service. Our Executive Chef oversees all kitchen operations, food production, and culinary staff. Position Summary The Restaurant Manager is responsible for leading all Front of House operations, including dining room service, bar operations, guest relations, staff development, and event execution. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality for both restaurant guests and event clients. Primary Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, including dining room, bar, host stand, and guest service areas. Lead, coach, and develop Front of House team members. Create staff schedules and manage labor productivity. Conduct pre-shift meetings and ongoing staff training. Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve concerns promptly. Work closely with the Event Sales Manager to execute weddings, banquets, and private events. Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and communicate event requirements. Coordinate staffing and operational needs for all events. Manage labor costs and productivity targets. Assist with beverage inventory controls and cash handling procedures. Ensure compliance with health, safety, liquor, and labor regulations. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience. Experience in upscale dining, hospitality, wedding venues, hotels, or event-driven restaurants preferred. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities. Experience executing weddings, banquets, and private events is highly desirable. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
