The F&B Manager is a leader and team member for all Front of House food & beverage operations and is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maximizing operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage. As the primary FOH leader, this role oversees daily restaurant operations, all FOH staff, scheduling and payroll processes, training and development, and the execution of all hospitality standards. Working closely with the Hotel Manager & Director of Food & Beverage, the F&B Manager helps maintain all guest and administrative needs for the hotels Restaurant outletsLOCATION
Faraway Sag HarborPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as the a leader for all Front of House F&B operations, ensuring smooth daily execution of service. Actively participates in the development and implementation of revenue strategies in collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage. Maintains strong floor presence during service, touching tables, supporting staff, and modeling excellent hospitality. Leads with a positive, hands-on approach while multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment. Oversees FOH ambiance, guest experience, restaurant image, cleanliness, and uniform/appearance standards.SCHEDULING, PAYROLL & ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT
Owns all FOH scheduling, including creating, adjusting, and approving timesheets. Oversees payroll submission for the restaurant's FOH team, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Utilizes technology tools and platforms to manage administrative tasks efficiently. Manages inventory on weekly/monthly basis. Active participant in curation and management of menu.FINANCIAL ALIGNMENT & VENDOR MANAGEMENT
Collaborates closely with the Hotel Manager to maintain alignment with budgets, labor parameters, and operational expense targets. Assists with inventory ordering and management, ensuring strategic purchasing aligned with financial goals. Manages vendor relationships and ordering guides, keeping all information up to date.TRAINING, DEVELOPMENT & PROGRAMMING
Conducts ongoing training and development programs focused on food, beverage, service, and hospitality excellence. Supports culinary programming including menu development, updates, and coordinating staff menu trainings.RESERVATIONS, SERVICE FLOW & GUEST RELATIONS
Assists with managing reservation systems to optimize revenue opportunities. Responds promptly and professionally to guest issues and works to resolve concerns effectively.SAFETY, MAINTENANCE & COMPLIANCE
Ensures adherence to all sanitation, safety, and proper alcohol service guidelines. Communicates maintenance and repair needs in collaboration with Engineering and the Hotel Manager.QUALIFICATIONS
2-5+ years of hospitality experience in upscale full-service restaurants. Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility and resilience to adapt to evolving operational needs. Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop employees. Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach. Professional, confident communication skills with guests, staff, and ownership. ServSafe and TiPs certified (or equivalent). Clear understanding of the English language (verbal and written). Experience working with scheduling, payroll, and administrative technology systems. Familiarity with Apple products and applications.Similar remote jobs
