Food & Beverage Manager (The Restaurant Maven) Hotel Saranac, Curio Collection by Hilton |
Saranac Lake, NY Compensation:
$65,000 - $70,000 / year
Perks:
Temporary Housing Available (Up to 90 Days) | Relocation Assistance | Hilton Global Travel Benefits ($40/night) The Vibe Hotel Saranac is the historic heartbeat of the Adirondacks—a masterfully restored 1920s landmark where rugged wilderness meets sophisticated, upscale hospitality. Our food and beverage program is the social engine of the community, anchored by our signature restaurant (Campfire), the vibrant Great Hall Lounge, and seasonal terrace dining. We aren't looking for a passive clipboard holder who sits in a back office. We are seeking a Restaurant Maven. This is a role for an ambitious, highly visible, and systems-driven leader who orchestrates the energy of our main dining and lounge spaces, commands respect through collaborative leadership, and treats food and beverage analytics—like revenue pacing, labor yields, and guest satisfaction scores—as an art form. If you are an elite professional ready to harmonize a premium lifestyle hospitality operation and elevate your hospitality horizon, your stage is ready. The Role As the Food & Beverage Manager, you are the strategic anchor, team mentor, and daily engine of our primary front-of-house hospitality outlets. You translate high-level strategy into flawless, shift-by-shift execution. Your primary focus is driving the operational excellence, service pacing, and financial health of Campfire and the Great Hall Lounge, while providing vital leadership support to our dedicated Banquet & Catering Events team during peak functions.
The Outlet Conductor:
Take direct command of daily front-of-house execution across Campfire and the Great Hall Lounge. Maintain a high-energy, polished presence on the floor during peak volume hours to ensure guest interactions reflect premium lifestyle standards.
The Unified Team Builder:
Foster a seamless, collaborative partnership between front-of-house service and back-of-house culinary teams. Build an environment anchored in open communication, mutual respect, shared accountability, and a unified passion for the guest experience.
The Experience Champion:
Drive a property-wide dedication to exceeding guest expectations. Actively monitor guest feedback, analyze internal guest satisfaction metrics and social media reviews, and design proactive operational adjustments to continually elevate service quality.
The Fiscal Guardian:
Take direct ownership of restaurant and lounge profitability. Manage operating expense line items within budget, optimize beverage programs, eliminate waste, and design labor-efficient schedules aligned with seasonal revenue pacing.
The Brand & Compliance Anchor:
Champion brand standard integration, manage curated package offerings, and enforce an ongoing culture of strict cleanliness and safety, ensuring the department flawlessly passes all quality assurance audits and health inspections.
The Event Support Partner:
Collaborate closely with the Banquet & Catering Events Manager, stepping in to provide strategic operational support and leadership coverage during high-volume weddings, corporate banquets, and property events when required.
What You Bring The Professional Pedigree:
2+ years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience (as an F&B Manager, Assistant Manager, or high-volume Restaurant/Lounge Manager) within upscale hotels, resorts, or premium independent dining concepts.
Systems & Administrative Discipline:
Proven experience managing front-of-house business mechanics. You must know how to align labor to a strict budget, navigate modern Point of Sale platforms, and interpret daily business data to drive operational adjustments.
People-First Leadership:
A natural coach who leads with composure, warmth, and clear expectations under pressure. You take pride in building a workplace culture focused on teamwork, recognition, and continuous professional development.
The Hospitality Craft:
Deep knowledge of upscale service workflows, craft beverage program management, and high-volume dining mechanics, combined with a genuine passion for showcasing the unique charm of our historic property.
