Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations of the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth service flow, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests. Your leadership will inspire staff, optimize service efficiency, and uphold our commitment to outstanding hospitality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Service Flow & Floor Oversight Pre-Shift:
The MOD helps ensure the floor is ready before service begins. Verify all sections are fully set and stocked Check that server stations are organized and ready Confirm menu cleanliness and stock levels Communicate any 86 items or menu changes to servers Assist management with lineup if needed Act as Manager for all Wednesday - Sunday dinners Conduct pre-shift meetings: review reservations, specials, and service standards Oversee service flow, table turns, and pacing with the kitchen Ensure sidework, cleanliness, and setup/breakdown are completed properly Be the point of contact for guest recovery (comps/voids within set limits) Monitor reservations, waitlist, and walk-ins for smooth seating 2. Staff Management Provide real-time coaching during service (steps of service, upselling, guest interaction). Ensure all FOH staff are adhering to uniform, sidework, and service standards. Support GM inonboarding/training new FOH staff. Lead by example, jump in on the floor when needed without losing leadership focus. 3. Admin & Operations Write detailed shift notes/recaps after each dinner service for GM review. Track and report nightly comps/voids, service issues, and staffing needs. Deal with the FOH schedule / coverage requests in assistance with the GM. Monitor and communicate supply/stock needs to GM and Chef. Inventory and order beverage items for the FOH in coordinate with the GM. 4. Culture & Accountability Uphold the restaurant's standards of hospitality and service. Be approachable and consistent, staff knows exactly what's expected. Collaborate with GM to enforce policies and address repeat performance issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in a FOH leadership role High-volume service experience preferred Strong understanding of POS and reservation systems Ability to lead service calmly and efficiently Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
