Job Description

Standard Fare and Bocage Champagne Bar are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to support our Executive Chef and help maintain the systems, standards, and structure that keep our kitchens operating at a high level. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on organization, takes pride in a clean and efficient workspace, and enjoys creating order in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Please note:
This is not primarily a cooking position—it is an organizational and operational leadership position within the kitchen. While culinary experience is essential, success in this role will be measured by your ability to maintain systems, manage inventory, oversee prep production, and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and professionally. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations across both concepts Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and minimizing waste Place and receive food and supply orders Organize and oversee prep production to ensure readiness for service Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen Monitor storage areas, walk-ins, and dry goods for proper rotation, labeling, and storage Assist with recipe adherence, portion control, and food cost management Support training and accountability of kitchen staff Ensure all health department and food safety standards are consistently met Help create and maintain systems that improve efficiency, organization, and consistency Qualifications Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, Lead Line Cook, or similar leadership role required Strong organizational and time-management skills Experience with inventory management and ordering Ability to lead by example and maintain high standards Comfortable working independently and solving problems proactively Strong attention to detail Reliable, professional, and highly accountable Ability to lift and move inventory as needed What We're Looking For The right candidate is someone who notices when things are out of place and takes initiative to fix them.
