Dining Room/Catering Manager 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1010 Kendal Way, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591 $90,242 a year - Full-time Kendal on Hudson 33 reviews $90,242 a year - Full-time Dining Room Manager Full-Time | Hospitality & Dining Services We are seeking an experienced and service-focused Dining Room Manager to lead daily front-of-house operations and ensure an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests. This hands-on leadership role oversees dining room staff, service standards, food and beverage operations, special events, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily dining room operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, and supervision. Ensure exceptional service standards and an inviting, well-maintained dining environment. Oversee POS systems, reporting, beverage inventory, and bartender supervision. Coordinate catering and special events with the Executive Chef. Recruit, coach, and develop dining room team members. Maintain compliance with all state and federal health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Monitor dining room appearance, table settings, equipment, and overall guest experience. Maintain operational records, including meal counts, temperature logs, schedules, and resident requests. Collaborate with the Culinary Director to improve service standards and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or food service management education preferred. Minimum 2 years of front-of-house experience in a restaurant, hotel, club, senior living community, or similar environment. Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience. Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office. CPR/First Aid, Food Handler, and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday. Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
