Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Cafe Manager to lead our team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure food safety standards, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Your leadership will drive the success of the café by combining culinary expertise with outstanding hospitality management, creating a lively environment where quality and service shine. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills in a fast-paced, friendly setting. Duties Supervise all aspects of cafe operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness, to ensure smooth daily functioning Lead staff training and development to foster a motivated, knowledgeable team committed to excellent customer service Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.. Oversee cash handling procedures, including POS transactions and end-of-shift reconciliation. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations through regular inspections and staff training in food handling and safety protocols. Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels for peak times, and handle interviewing for new team members/on boarding for all new employees. Maintain high standards of hospitality by creating a welcoming environment that encourages guest satisfaction and loyalty. Skills Proven experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurant environments. Strong knowledge of POS system for efficient transaction processing. Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management to support culinary excellence. Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams, conducting training sessions, and developing staff talent. Skilled in inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management to optimize operational efficiency. Exceptional customer service abilities with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining compliance with cash handling procedures. Familiarity with food safety standards and certifications necessary for maintaining health regulations in casual dining or fine dining settings. Experience managing shifts in a high-volume environment with strong organizational skills. Background in restaurant or hotel management with a focus on food industry best practices. Experience 3+ years of food service management, hospitality management, or resort operations experience preferred. Experience in the ski, tourism, recreation, or hospitality industry is a plus. Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, or a related field preferred. Previous food service management, preferably in the hospitality or outdoor recreation industry, is a plus.
