In this pivotal role, you will oversee all daily operations of the shop, drives sales and profitability, leads and develops the team, and ensures an outstanding guest experience that reflects the Qdoba culture: fresh, fast, flavorful, and fun. Your leadership will drive the success of our food service establishment, fostering a vibrant environment that delights guests and motivates staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive experience in food industry management, capable of managing diverse teams, controlling budgets, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape a thriving hospitality venue where teamwork and innovation are celebrated. Duties Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow across all departments including kitchen, bar, and front-of-house service. Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and skilled team. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures. Supervise inventory control procedures, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize profitability. Utilize POS systems for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting. Handle cash management responsibilities including cash handling procedures, reconciliations, and deposit preparations. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and health standards through regular inspections and staff training on food handling practices. Develop and implement operational policies to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and staff productivity. Manage budgeting processes by monitoring expenses and revenue streams to meet financial goals. Coordinate catering events, banquets, or special functions to enhance revenue opportunities. Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes exceptional customer service and hospitality excellence. Conduct interviews for hiring new team members and oversee onboarding processes to ensure seamless integration into the team. Lead shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet business demands while maintaining work-life balance for employees. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through staff training & development initiatives focused on culinary skills, food safety, and customer service excellence. Qualifications Proven management experience within the food service industry; supervisory experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and reporting purposes. Strong background in inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures. Demonstrated ability in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability within hospitality settings. Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development as well as supervising diverse teams. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining compliance with cash handling policies. Experience in managing restaurant operations during various shifts including evenings and weekends; flexibility is essential. Knowledge of catering operations or banquet management is a plus; hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
