Part Time School Cafeteria Manager:
St. Joseph School St. Joseph School
  • Amherst A small, but mighty school is seeking a friendly and hardworking person to become our new school cafeteria manager!
Experience with running a school kitchen/any kitchen is a plus, but not required. Prior experience working with the national free/reduced lunch program is also a plus. Applicants must be able to become ServSafe trained, must be Virtus trained or be willing to become Virtus trained, and be able to pass a background check. The general hours for this position are from 6:45 am until 12:00 pm.
General job duties are:
  • preparing and serving breakfast and lunch each day
  • ordering food and supplies for the school kitchen
  • keeping an accurate record of school lunch transactions
  • communicating with teachers, families, students, and the school principal
  • maintaining the online lunch account program
  • proper reporting to the USDA
  • Caring for all students in the school through respect and service
  • Working with the principal to have the lunch program add value to the overall school experience at SJS
