Full Job Description Job Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success and management of a Charleys Cheesesteak and Wings restaurant. This includes overseeing all daily operations, from ensuring a high-quality customer experience to managing the team and maintaining financial performance. The General Manager acts as an ambassador for the brand, embodying its values and culture while leading the team to meet and exceed business objectives in sales, profitability, food quality, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:
Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards. Manage shifts effectively, ensuring the restaurant is adequately staffed and all team members are performing their duties. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including ServSafe guidelines. Ensure that all food products are consistently prepared and served according to Charleys' recipes, portioning, and quality standards. Manage and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. 2.
Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new team members. Train, coach, and develop all staff, including supervisors and crew members, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service. Create and manage employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to improve team performance and foster a positive work environment. Handle all in-store human resources and administrative duties, including payroll and other HR-related paperwork. 3.
Financial Management:
Manage the restaurant's budget, track expenses, and monitor revenues to ensure profitability. Control costs related to food, labor, and other operational expenses. Review and analyze financial reports, including P&L statements, to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and controlling stock levels to minimize waste and ensure product availability. Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures. 4.
Sales and Marketing:
Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer traffic. Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local marketing campaigns, promotions, and community outreach efforts. Stay informed about local competition and market trends to adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a salaried restaurant management role, preferably in a fast-paced, quick-service or fast-casual environment. Proven leadership and team-building skills with a track record of motivating and developing staff. Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and P&L statements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, informed decisions. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Scheduled or unscheduled. ServSafe Manager Certification is preferred or must be obtained within a specified timeframe. High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours). Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, kneel, and reach to perform various tasks.
