This role leads the restaurant team by hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees while ensuring compliance with Subway brand standards and company policies. The Restaurant Manager creates a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and guest satisfaction. Essential Functions Lead the day-to-day operations of the restaurant while maintaining Subway brand standards. Model and foster a guest-first culture by ensuring every customer receives outstanding service. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and resolve issues effectively. Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop restaurant team members. Create schedules that effectively balance business needs and labor budgets. Monitor staffing levels and build a strong pipeline of talent. Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular coaching and feedback. Promote employee engagement while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment. Ensure compliance with all company policies, Subway operational standards, and federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain the highest standards of food quality, food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness. Manage inventory, product ordering, food costs, and waste control. Oversee cash handling procedures, deposits, and daily financial reporting. Monitor sales, labor, food cost, and profitability while developing action plans to improve results. Execute local marketing initiatives and company promotional programs. Maintain restaurant facilities and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous restaurant management experience required; Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer proficiency. Strong organizational, planning, budgeting, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing labor, scheduling, inventory, and profit and loss (P&L) performance preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work Schedule Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment around kitchen equipment and varying temperatures. Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment. Move throughout the restaurant to monitor operations and support team members.
