Bakery Department Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and purchasing Bakery merchandise for daily, weekly and holiday sales. Planning and purchasing to increase Profitability and control Shrink Scheduling and overseeing production of 4-6 employees Communicates with others in a polite and professional manner. Sells, bakes, stocks, prepares, decorates and packages bakery items. May operate an oven, mixer, photo cake machine, slicer and decorating equipment. Creates and Decorates Cakes for any Occasion Rotates product and ensures compliance with expiration dates. Maintain quality service by enforcing company standards and policies Comply with OSHA health and safety regulations

REQUIREMENTS

Prior Bakery and Cake Decorating experience required Regular attendance required Must be available between the hours of 6 AM and 5 PM Must be available weekends and holidays Strong Customer service skills Lifts, manipulates, pushes and pulls items of varying sizes up to 40 pounds. Frequent exposure to 400° F while baking products and -20° F while handling products in the freezer. Requires use of plastic or latex gloves Bends and stoops, twists and turns. Standing and walking for long periods of time are required.
