Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment to new heights! This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels in team management, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As the driving force behind daily operations, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant management, ensuring smooth service, high-quality food standards, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Your leadership will inspire staff, optimize processes, and uphold our commitment to excellence in every plate served. Duties Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Oversee daily restaurant operations, including shift management, food preparation, and ensuring adherence to health regulations. Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximize profitability. Supervise staff training and development programs to enhance skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer service techniques. Implement effective cash handling procedures and oversee financial transactions with accuracy. Coordinate kitchen management activities including food production, culinary standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety protocols. Conduct interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new team members while fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth. Monitor restaurant performance metrics, prepare reports on sales and expenses, and develop strategies for continuous improvement. Ensure all food preparation aligns with safety standards. Oversee catering events, bar operations, and special functions to ensure seamless execution. Experience Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in casual or fine dining restaurants. Extensive background in food service management with a strong understanding of kitchen operations including cooking techniques and food production processes. Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on staff training & development in hospitality or restaurant settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis to optimize restaurant profitability. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage shift schedules effectively, and handle customer concerns professionally. Knowledge of food safety standards and certifications relevant to the hospitality industry; experience with catering services is a plus. Excellent communication skills with a track record of successful team building and staff development initiatives.
Pay:
$68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
