Job Description

Restaurant General Manager (Ralph's American Grill) Wilmington, OH 45177 Ralph's American Grill is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and build a strong, engaged team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing service, staffing, financial performance, and operational compliance while maintaining the high hospitality standards our guests expect. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands restaurant financials, and is passionate about team development and outstanding service. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Maintain positive guest relationships through regular table visits and guest interaction. Ensure all service meets the restaurant's quality and hospitality standards. Address guest feedback and resolve service opportunities promptly and professionally. Execute all menu requirements and fulfill guest-specific service requests. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, and develop team members in partnership with the Assistant General Manager. Promote a positive work environment through engagement, coaching, and team development. Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business needs. Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Food & Beverage leadership. Operations & Compliance Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations including responsible alcohol service, safety, and sanitation standards. Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service policies. Ensure all team members follow company policies and training guidelines. Maintain proper safety and sanitation practices throughout the operation. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Support the restaurant's financial goals in partnership with the Director of Food & Beverage. Provide weekly financial updates during staff meetings. Manage inventory controls, including monthly liquor, beer, and wine inventory. Execute required daily reporting and administrative tasks in a timely manner. Ensure daily time sheets are entered and submitted to accounting. Daily & Weekly Responsibilities Oversee recruiting and hiring with the Assistant General Manager. Coordinate weekly staff scheduling with the Restaurant Manager. Provide financial performance updates during staff meetings. Meet weekly with Food & Beverage leadership to review operations and strategy. Brainstorm promotions and initiatives to increase restaurant traffic and revenue. Follow up with guests regarding feedback and service recovery when needed. Complete monthly inventory for liquor, beer, and wine. Ensure daily timekeeping records are entered and submitted to accounting. Qualifications 3-5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service environment Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills Experience with restaurant financials, scheduling, and inventory management Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines Ability to lead in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ralph's American Grill is managed by Columbus Hospitality Management, a company committed to providing quality service and memorable guest experiences in a positive and welcoming work environment.
