Eugene, OR Pay:
$26.00/hour | Full-Time | On-Site About the Role We are looking for an experienced, professional hospitality leader to join our team at the Hayward Inn, located directly across from the University of Oregon campus and Matthew Knight Arena. This is a hands-on management role with real responsibility. You will serve as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager, overseeing daily hotel operations, leading front desk and support staff, and ensuring every guest has an exceptional stay. If you take pride in a well-run property, lead by example, and bring genuine warmth to the guest experience, we want to hear from you. This role offers meaningful growth for a hospitality professional ready to take the next step and bring good energy to the team. What You Will Do
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when the General Manager is not on property
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable front desk staff, including scheduling and day-to-day supervision
  • Onboard and train new team members
  • Conduct room and property inspections to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
  • Support food and beverage and housekeeping operations as needed
  • Manage inventory and assist with supply ordering
  • Provide hands-on front desk coverage and deliver exceptional guest service
  • Respond to guest concerns professionally and with confidence
  • Coordinate with the Housekeeping Manager on property presentation standards What We Are Looking For
  • 2+ years of hotel front desk or operations experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role
  • A polished, professional appearance and demeanor; you set the tone for the team
  • Strong leadership skills and a calm, confident presence with both guests and staff
  • High personal standards for cleanliness and property presentation
  • Organized, reliable, and comfortable making decisions independently
  • Someone who brings positive energy and genuinely enjoys being part of a team
  • Experience with a property management system preferred What We Offer
