Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated service industry professional with management experience to take the helm at the Campus location of Hey Neighbor! As a small capacity-high volume restaurant our ideal candidate is someone with efficiency, good work ethic and a wealth of fundamental restaurant/bar experience. It is also important that the candidate has familiarity with admin work such as scheduling, ordering and inventory. True empathetic hospitality is at the core of our business model, it's right there in our name! It is our goal to be a place where the community can gather; whether it's students who are passing through or neighborhood folks who have been here since day one, all are welcome. It is essential that the candidate has the ability to seamlessly integrate with the existing staff and be an inspiring presence. Change can be hard, we are looking for someone who can implement positive adjustments that improve the workplace environment and guest experience. It is of the utmost importance that the candidate is open-minded and equitable; current management is adamant that people of all genders and backgrounds are made to feel welcome and seen. What You'll Do Lead shifts and train team members while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Coach and motivate crew. Oversee and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Coordinate dine-in, online and call in orders ensuring quality and timely delivery of food and beverages. Manage restaurant operations, focusing on guest satisfaction and efficient service. Collaborate with ownership and management of other locations to ensure that all supplies are appropriately stocked. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that arise promptly and with empathy and understanding. Maintain inventory levels for beverages and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations. What We're Looking For Proven experience in leadership roles such as Assistant Manager or similar positions within the hospitality industry. Strong background in food management, bartending, or restaurant management is highly desirable. Excellent customer service & communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people. Reliable transportation and punctuality. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as operational needs require. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with a focus on efficiency and operational excellence. Ability to collaborate with staff to implement prospective changes in policy and standards of procedure. Compensation starts at $16.00/hour + Tips and includes advancement opportunities with a competitive wage based on experience and performance. This role requires substantial availability throughout the summer and beyond, including evenings, weekends, and peak business periods.
