The Allred s Bites + Bar offers guests craft cocktails, a menu of curated small plates and one of the best views in the Pacific Northwest. From espresso and pastries to local beers and on extensive Bourbon collection, our lobby restaurant is the perfect place to unwind and take in the one-of-a-kind energy of the Oregon Coast. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team and help elevate our guests and employees experience to new heights.
Job Description:
As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant back-of-house. You will ensure an exceptional guest experience and maintain the highest standards of service and quality, while leading and inspiring a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
Create remarkable experiences for our colleagues and guestsCreate and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage while managing labor costsManage the kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high qualityEnsure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, and sanitation requirementsCoordinate and prepare meals ordered by guestsEnsure proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterwardMaintain and inspect kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as neededAssist in the creation of the restaurant s menu based on food trends, food costs, guest requests, and seasonal availabilityAssist in creation and maintenance of operating/training manuals for the kitchenSupport the General Manager in setting and reaching goals for the department
Qualifications:
3+ years proven experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager or similar role in a relaxed upscale dining establishmentStrong leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ability to communicate in Spanish a plusExcellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiencesSolid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functionsStrong financial skills in budgeting, expense management and financial report preparation and analysisKnowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulationsStrong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detailAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
