Job Description

Cafeteria Style Chef Manager - Warrenton, OR Full-Time Position Acorn Food Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to lead food and beverage operations in a cafeteria style environment at the Camp Rilea Training Center. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing all aspects of daily food service operations, including culinary execution, team leadership, customer relations, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. The Chef Manager serves as the face of the operation and maintains direct interaction with clients while ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence. This is a full-time salaried management position. Work schedules are driven by customer training events, food service work orders, and operational requirements at Camp Rilea. Hours will vary based on meal service schedules, customer demand, and special events, with shifts typically occurring between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$55,000 - $68,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications Annual Bonus Opportunity Medical Benefits Paid Holidays Paid Vacation 401(k) Retirement Plan Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management Interview, hire, train, and supervise employees Motivate and develop team members for advancement opportunities Establish performance standards and service expectations Foster a positive, productive, and professional work environment Conduct staff coaching and performance management Culinary & Food Service Operations Oversee all food preparation and meal service operations Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control Direct meal production and service execution Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards Maintain inventory and operational readiness Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Review and manage weekly budgets, payroll, and purchasing activity Monitor labor and food costs to achieve operational goals Maintain required records and reports Attend client and company meetings as required Customer Relations Build and maintain strong client relationships Investigate and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations Maintain standards necessary to achieve top health inspection ratings Monitor workplace safety practices and employee compliance Promote a safe working environment for all employees Qualifications Preferred Experience 2-3 years of culinary and food service management experience Proven leadership experience in a food service environment Strong understanding of: Profit & Loss (P&L) management Food cost control Payroll management Labor management Budgeting and financial performance Additional Qualifications Occasional travel opportunities may be available to support company operations, special events, training programs, and startup activities at other locations. Candidates with flexibility and a willingness to travel are strongly preferred.
