Job Description

Restaurant Manager Position Summary The Restaurant Manager assists in directing the daily operations of the hotel's restaurant, lounge, and food service outlets. This position provides leadership to restaurant associates, ensures exceptional guest service, maintains operational standards, and supports the achievement of departmental financial and service goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction. Lead, coach, motivate, and support restaurant associates during each shift. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees. Prepare staff schedules and monitor labor utilization. Ensure compliance with company policies, Marriott brand standards, and health and safety regulations. Monitor food quality, beverage presentation, cleanliness, and service standards. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control. Monitor cash handling procedures and daily financial reporting. Conduct shift meetings and communicate operational priorities. Support performance management through coaching, recognition, and corrective action when necessary. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Assist in implementing promotions, service initiatives, and operational improvements. Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred. 2-5 years of restaurant supervisory or management experience, preferably in a hotel environment. Strong leadership and customer service skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, labor laws, and point-of-sale systems. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying trays or supplies. Ability to work in varying temperatures and a fast-paced restaurant environment. Work Environment This position works in a full-service hotel restaurant and lounge environment with frequent guest interaction. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
