  • Full-time Job Summary Hinkle's Restaurant, a Columbia landmark for more than 130 years, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead day-to-day operations and help guide the restaurant through an exciting period of growth.
Located in the heart of historic downtown Columbia, Hinkle's is uniquely positioned one block from the soon-to-open Hampton Inn by Hilton at the Chip Factory, creating new opportunities for growth and increased guest traffic. Responsibilities Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery across all shifts while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction Supervise and train staff members in food preparation, customer service, POS system usage (including Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food handling procedures Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to maximize profitability Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and adherence to financial policies Implement staff training programs focused on food safety, hygiene standards, and hospitality excellence to foster a motivated team environment Monitor compliance with health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff Coordinate with kitchen management on food production, culinary standards, and special event catering such as banquets or private parties Qualifications Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments with supervisory responsibilities Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking Demonstrated skills in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within the food industry Excellent leadership abilities with experience in staff training & development, interviewing, and team management Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and health regulations Previous experience in hospitality management or hotel/culinary environments is highly desirable Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently Join us as our General Manager
