  • Full-time Banquet Manager Job Summary The Imperial Event Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquet Manager to join our team of other dedicated hospitality professionals.
Take pride in overseeing all aspects of banquet operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management and food service, ensuring that events run smoothly and exceed guest expectations. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment. Banquet Manager Responsibilities Plan and coordinate all banquet events, including setup, execution, and breakdown. Coordinate with other Departments as needed. Plan and schedule personnel based upon the events booked within budgeted guidelines and industry standards. Supervise the banquet team and ensure service delivery quality meets established standards outlined in the BEO's and industry norms. Manage inventory of beverage supplies, placing orders in collaboration with The Imperial Restaurant Bar Manager as necessary. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences for events. Experience using POS system and billing procedures, understanding of Microsoft Office, Google Doc's and Sheets, and other related business systems such as payroll systems and internal personnel scheduling systems. Train and mentor staff on service standards, food & beverage management practices, event space utilization, event space allocation, basic meeting, conference and social events including weddings room sets, and hospitality excellence. Basic knowledge of A/V equipment and set-up. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining areas. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during events promptly. Attend the required weekly and period meetings. Banquet Manager Skills Strong background in event space management. Knowledge of general banquet operations and service techniques required. Experience in full service banquet and catering within the mid-to-upscale service standards. Proven supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on team development and motivation. Familiarity with hospitality management principles to enhance guest experiences.
