Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Shift Manager to lead our culinary team during daily operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee food preparation, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a smooth kitchen workflow in a fast-paced, quick service environment. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold food safety standards, and manage inventory to deliver outstanding dining experiences. Duties Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and timely service in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting Lead, motivate, and train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards Oversee inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste using systems like FIFO Manage cash handling procedures accurately during shift transactions and ensure compliance with cash management policies Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards to guarantee high-quality food handling and preparation Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any operational issues promptly Conduct performance evaluations, and ongoing training to foster a skilled and motivated team Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and managing operations within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment Strong knowledge of POS systems for order processing and sales tracking Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in the food industry Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance and cost-effective operations Experience in hospitality management, kitchen management, or restaurant management roles preferred Ability to train staff effectively, develop team members' skills, and foster a positive work environment Join us as a Kitchen Shift Manager and be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences!
