Food Service Manager

Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee daily operations at our Gelato/coffee/dessert shop. This role is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high-quality product standards, managing staff, and driving overall business performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily shop operations, including opening and closing procedures Supervise, train, and schedule staff to ensure optimal coverage and performance Maintain exceptional customer service standards and resolve customer concerns professionally Monitor product quality, presentation, and freshness of gelato and related items Manage inventory, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Handle cash management, sales tracking, and basic financial reporting Develop strategies to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment Qualifications Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of budgeting, inventory, and sales reporting Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with specialty desserts, coffee, ice cream, or artisanal food products Barista experience Food safety manager certification Passion for gelato, desserts, and hospitality
