Front of House Manager A Taste of Britain | Wayne, PA Lead with hospitality. Work with purpose. Go home for dinner. A Taste of Britain is a beloved, long-standing tea room, restaurant, retail shop, and catering business on Philadelphia's Main Line. For 35 years, we've been known for gracious hospitality, high standards, and a warm, welcoming guest experience. We are currently seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to join our professional leadership team — someone who takes pride in service excellence, leads with calm confidence, and values a healthy, balanced work life.   • Real influence, not just "putting out fires" The Role The Front of House Manager is responsible for leading daily dining room operations while upholding A Taste of Britain's Core Values of Hospitality, Excellence, Accountability, Integrity, and Joy .
You will:
Lead, coach, and support a team of servers, hosts, and bussers Set the tone on the floor — calm, organized, guest-focused Ensure consistent service standards and memorable guest experiences Oversee reservations, floor flow, pacing, and service execution Conduct pre-shift briefings and end-of-day debriefs Model professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail Reporting to our AGM and work closely with Ownership and the Kitchen Leadership Team Help train and develop future leaders within the organization Who You Are You might be a great fit if you: Have prior FOH management and strong supervisory experience Take pride in hospitality and service details Lead by example and don't need constant oversight Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally Enjoy building a strong team culture Prefer structure, standards, and consistency over chaos Want a long-term role with a stable, values-driven business Who This Is Not For This role is not a fit if you: Thrive on late nights, bar culture, or high-drama environments Prefer "winging it" over standards, routines, and systems Struggle with accountability, routines, and follow-through About A Taste of Britain Our mission is simple: "To surprise and delight enough people every day, to become America's favorite tea room."
