General ManagerTurks Head Wines | West Chester, PA Turks Head Wines is looking for a driven, hospitality-focused General Manager to lead daily operations at our West Chester tasting room and restaurant. We are a California wine-focused tasting room located in the heart of West Chester, offering a one-of-a-kind food, wine, and hospitality experience. We are looking for a General Manager who can lead with professionalism, hold high standards, support the team, and help drive the business forward. This role is ideal for someone who loves hospitality but also thinks like an operator—someone who understands that great service, strong systems, clean facilities, staff accountability, cost control, and profitability all work together. Responsibilities Include Lead daily restaurant and tasting room operations with professionalism and accountability. Set clear expectations for staff and hold the team accountable to service, cleanliness, and performance standards. Oversee front-of-house service, guest experience, dining room flow, reservations, and table management. Support communication between ownership, management, front-of-house, back-of-house, and events. Handle guest concerns and service recovery with confidence and hospitality. Manage scheduling, labor control, staffing levels, call-outs, and shift adjustments. Support inventory, ordering, vendor communication, and cost management. Ensure proper cash handling, deposits, comps, voids, discounts, and closing procedures. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, facility upkeep, and overall presentation. Train, coach, and develop staff on service standards, menu knowledge, wine knowledge, policies, and daily procedures. Support menu changes, seasonal offerings, private events, special programming, and revenue-building initiatives. Work closely with ownership to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, staff performance, and profitability. The Right Candidate The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable leading a team in a high-standard hospitality environment. They should be able to balance warmth and professionalism with structure, accountability, and financial discipline. We are looking for someone who: Has restaurant, tasting room, or hospitality management experience. Leads by example and brings a positive, professional presence to the floor. Understands service standards, guest experience, labor control, and operational systems. Is comfortable managing people, solving problems, and making real-time decisions during service. Can communicate clearly with staff, ownership, vendors, and guests. Takes ownership of cleanliness, organization, training, and daily execution. Is proactive about improving systems, increasing revenue, and strengthening the guest experience. Has an interest in wine, food, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences. What We're Looking For This is a leadership role for someone who wants to be deeply involved in the success of the business. The General Manager should treat the restaurant's reputation, team culture, financial health, and guest experience as top priorities. Candidates should be ready to lead from the floor, coach the team, improve systems, and help create a polished, welcoming, and profitable operation.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
